The actor, whose portrayal has become a fan favourite, shared his thoughts in an interview with ETimes, where he addressed the ending of his character and its impact on the story after the show’s 15-year leap.
Speaking about his exit, Gaurav said, “So, for now, Anuj’s chapter is closed, but I see it as a comma, not a full stop. If the story demands it and my schedule allows it, I will be happy to come back.” He revealed that his role was planned in It was originally intended to be a three-month show but it ended up lasting more than three years, becoming a defining moment in his career.
