Rapper P Diddy threatened the life of American singer Dawn Richards. The reason – she watched P. Diddy hit Cassie Ventura. Singer Don Richard, who was a member of two bands formed by Sean “P Diddy” Combs, was “absolutely terrified” of the rapper while they were working together.
The singer is filing a lawsuit against Combs, accusing him of threatening her life, “subjecting her for years to inhumane working conditions, harassing her, assaulting her, and depriving her of her freedom.”
Richard was part of Danity Kane and Diddy – Dirty Money. She is among more than 20 people who have filed lawsuits against him. P Diddy faces charges of criminal racketeering and sex trafficking.
He denies the allegations and his lawyer described Richard’s words as “fabricated” and “false”.
The singer’s lawyer, Lisa Bloom, said that the rapper “harassed her, grabbed parts of her body, and sexually assaulted her.” Not only did he not pay her the money he promised, he actually forbade her from eating and sleeping during those years. Dawn Richard witnessed Combs’ horrific acts of violence against his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and other women.
Ventura, who is also a singer, had sued Combs a year ago, accusing him of rape and sex trafficking, but the case has since been dropped.
A video later emerged of him assaulting her in a hotel corridor in 2016.
Richard’s lawsuit says she witnessed him “brutally beat his girlfriend.” When the rapper learned that Richard wanted to help Ventura, he became angry and threatened her life. He added: “There will be consequences if you tell anyone that people are disappearing…”
Combs is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he awaits trial on charges of human trafficking for sexual exploitation, racketeering conspiracy and prostitution.
Prosecutors say the music mogul tried to contact potential witnesses, including the accusers, in order to blackmail them into staying silent or testifying to help his defense, BGNES reported.
